General Volunteer: Show up sporadically or consistently to sort clothing

Responsibilities:

  • Sort through donations making sure to keep only the best clothing and items for children
  • Hang up and organize clothing & shoes according to gender and size
  • Assist with the overall cleanliness of the foster closet

Lead Volunteer: Regular volunteer with leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Must volunteer a minimum of 20 hours, be trained by a staff member and interviewed by the Director.
  • Open and close the foster closet on assigned days
  • Manage volunteers (on assigned open day)
  • Assist families

FAQ

As a general volunteer, you will sort and organize clothing, restock items, and assist with whatever tasks need to be completed that day.
We love children here at UCFC! You are welcome to bring your kids with you when you volunteer. With that said, our facility is not child proof and your children should not be left unattended. We do have a playroom that we would love for you to utilize.
Yes! Please bring the necessary form with you when you volunteer. If you do not have one, we can provide one.

Yes! Please contact us to schedule a time for your group to come. Be sure to have each person of your group fill out a Waiver of Liability, especially if they are minors.
